capran Posted May 12, 2006 Share Posted May 12, 2006 I've got a parallel port scanner, Info FB745 (dead company) that someone gave me for free. I can only get it to work under Windows with the old FB745 software I found on the web, and then it's flakey. I tried under OS X86 to use GraphicConverter's TWAIN acquire, but it doesn't see it. Any ideas? I have been thinking of just junking it and my printer too and getting a cheap all-in-one unit, any one have experience with those? AFAIK apple doesnt make or use any hardware that includes a parallel port. so you are probably out of luck unless you want to write you own parallel port driver, API and user mode software for it.
