Jeezoflip
i dont think OS x supports floppy drives considering none of Apples computers running OS x has a floppy drive...but i dunno. They probably see it as "old, useless" technology. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/17179-floppy-usb/#findComment-111130 Share on other sites
Hiro_
Ok, i not use floppy disks, but my girlfriend is working in an school than has your technological park very old, then floppy disks for she, are very helpful. As i can it know if the floppy device is recognized in OS X, or if my USB devices are working normally. Therefore i insert the floppy usb device in my usb door, and nothing happened. Proteo
I have an Iomeba USB floppy drive. It works ok, I can read/write diskettes, and it is properly shown in my devices profile. However, sometimes it just stops working after ejecting the diskette, I don't know why. I have to do a full restart just to have it recognized again. Hope this helps. Edit: I isolated the problem to my USB hub. If I connect the drive to the computer's rear USB ports it works flawlessly. Proteo
I'm not quite sure what do you mean by "USB door". However, I don't need to do anything to get it recognized. The diskette icon appears in the desktop as soon as I introduce a diskette in the floppy drive. Just plug.. and play Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/17179-floppy-usb/#findComment-111273 Share on other sites
