shortduderay
Hey, after successfully (somewhat) installing Kalyway 10.5.3 (upgrade from 10.5.2) on my Dell XPS M1530, it seems like the laptop is running excessively hot (compared to Vista). I tried using Fan Control, but it doesn't seem to work for my laptop... Also, for the sound card (Sigmatel 9228), is there a way to get the sound to work without putting the laptop to sleep everytime? Also, I can't shut down properly, and sleep seems more like restarting for my laptop. Help would be much appreciated! Thanks! SticMAC™
I've successfully installed iPC(10.5.6) on one on these yesterday! I still have to get the sound working, but that is for later! there are no heating problems! I would suggest you get a Distro that is 10.5.5 or up, the latest ones are always the best!
