TheKing
Hello people, I have an Shutdown/Sleep problem with my OSX86 (iAtkos 5i) machine. It is patched with DSDT Patcher, it is using Voodoo kernel, it has OHR Fix but the problem still exists. It was working fine before some time. I heard some rumors that the problem is from the AppleHDA Patcher. Can be this fixed in some way? Will an update fix the problem or something else? Thanks in advance. TheKing
VoodooHDA helped, but the sound tone is very low even if I set it to Maximum. The shutdown works, but the sleep still doesn't work. I am gonna try the newest AppleHDA patcher to see what will happen. Thanks for the help. Master Chief
What do you see in System Profiler under USB: USB Bus: Host Controller Location? Is that "Built In USB" or "Expansion Slot"? See also: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=168014 BTW: I found that inserting a DVD made shutdown work here – the DVD LED lights up every 40 seconds or so without a DVD inserted (YMMV). The check box: "Restart automatically after a power failure" in System Preferences (Energy Saver -> Sleep) has been reported to make things work. A failing shutdown normally means that something is not right... and thus you might want to check: /var/log/system.log for related errors. TheKing
Yeah, the sleep works now, but the shutdown still doesn't work. EDIT: And I have one problem more: When waking up from sleep, the Network Settings doesn't work, so I don't have internet. I have Marvell Yukon 88E8040 and I am using the AppleYukon2.kext from the 10.5.7.
