Upgrade to 10.5.7 everything seem to be working fine except " About this Mac" when I select this from the apple menu the screen goes black and then returns to the desktop, but all running apps are shut off. Perhaps someone already knows a fix for this. any help will be appreciated. I have tried also applesmbiosefi and works well too. Master Chief Posted June 5, 2009 Share Posted June 5, 2009 I would say cleanup (remove) the old AppleSMBIOS.kext and other variants, like AppleSMBIOSEFI.kext and use the vanilla version from OS X 10.5.7 instead. Then with ChameleonSM installed, you can add the values to your copy of com.apple.Boot.plist or install/use Chameleon V2 (use search) which offers even more functionality, in which case I say: "Read the readme!".
