I've installed iPC 10.5.6 on my HP 550 Laptop and I got everything working (thanks mostly to Insanely Mac forum!) but scrolling feature! I tried almost EVERYTHING! I've almost burnt my brain to try EVERY method (even silly ones) found around the web...But I still can't get it working...The only thing I was able to do was to enable 2fingers scroll with ALPSDriver.pkg + FFScroll but it worked badly even if I configured the options plist with the best values! The trackpad was very unaccurate and too sensible. But, I've to admit this, the scroll worked and worked well. Getting to the point: How the hell can I enable sidescrolling feature? I've a synaptic touchpad on HP 550 mounting iPC 10.5.6 (yes, I'm repeating my configuration). I don't know touchpad version (actually I don't even know how to find it on Mac since it's not a PCI or USB device). Any help would be VERY appreciated! I loved all the work you did to make me a happy Mac User (as many others I suppose! ) but I'm begging some of you to give me a last hand to got a PERFECT hackintosh! Thanks in advance!! PS: I tried these methods: 1. Erasing AppleTrackpad.kext 2. Editing it deleting "Apple" bot in "PS2 Mouse" and "PS2 Trackpad" strings 3. Enabling Trackpad prefpane 4. Replacing Keyboard.prefPane with 10.5.5's version 5. Loading some modded ApplePS2Controller kexts Everytime I've backed up files and restored them after fails...I used Kext Helper v7 to copy new Kexts and everytime I repaired permissions. Infact now It's everything ok but, obiously, the scroll... PPS: If I solve this problem I would like to make a "HP 550 Hackint0sh Official Topic" joining all workarounds in a unique package and a unique guide (with iPC as starting distro)...If mods want! It works great! http://forum.voodooprojects.org/index.php/topic,235.0.html I'm using it in my Dell Inspiron 9400, iPC 10.5.6 updated to 10.5.7 and works great.
