I have a wireless card (0x168C, 0x58A) in my Thinpad T60.

After updating to 10.5.7, no airport card can be found.

Is there any method to get it working?

P.S. Replacing IO80211Family.kext with old one would allow me to use WEP. However it does not support WPA nor 802.11x authentication. I wish there is a "new" driver to drive my atheros card perfectly.

Thanks for any clue!

Same problem here, with a D-Link DWL-G520 rev B

I also hve the same problem.

After the update from 10.5.6 tp 10.5.7 my airport extreme card is not

recognized anymore.

Found no solution yet.

Anyone has an idea ?? I did replace the airport kext with the kext from 10.5.6 but had no luck.

Anyone has an working kext for an ethernet 82562V so i could at least get internet going with cable??

greatful for any help!!

I have a kext which I downloaded from Internet, by putting it back into the Extensions folder, I am able to use the wireless now. However, no WPA nor 802.1x is supported.

hello would you be so kind and share this kext with us ?

could you upload it. which kext (name ) is ist ?

thanks a lot

Here is the one I mentioned.

Copy this to Extensions folder and replace, then repair the system cache

chown -R root:wheel /System/Library/Extensions

chmod -R 755 /System/Library/Extensions

rm -rf /System/Library/Extensions.mkext

P.S. This kext is working with WEP but no WPA nor 802.1x for me. It may also cause internet connection to be unstable, as is seen in my laptop.

Good luck with these would want to try it!
