Hi!

I recently installed OSX XXX 10.5.6 successfully on this PC:

Asus K8V SE Deluxe

AMD Athlon64 3000+ Socket 754

VIA K8T800

1,5GB DDR RAM

250GB SATA HDD

NVidia 7600GS AGP

I tested 10.5.2 a few months ago, and it was smooth. Also the graphics card installed fine.

But if I select NVkush, NVinject or NVdarwin at the installer of xxx 01.5.6, the system would simply freeze at boot.

With -v flag I see the output of NVdarwin for example which is absolutely correct, but later (before the GUI starts up) the system freezes without any error.

Does anyone have an idea about how to fix this?

I'm also downloading iPC 10.5.6 because I saw there's a seperate option in the installer for the 7600GS AGP.

Could someone please extract this package with pacifist for me and post here?

It takes me ages to download this whole image and I'd like to try that as soon as possible.

Thanks!

EFI strings work for AGP too?

That would be awesome!

I tried adding before, but it froze too. So I thought it is for PCIe only..

EDIT:

BIG Problem!

No matter if I use EFI strings, injectors, 10.5.6 xxx, 10.4.8 JaS, it ALWAYS hangs as soon as loginwindow.app should start. Without any kexts it just boots fine into software mode.

With 10.5.6 iPC I got it working! Simply selecting 7600GS from the NVidia list did the trick, no need for any other patches.

However, USB drives barely work in this release and I wasn't able to get the WG3111T to work without kernel panic so I gave up trying on this machine. Maybe I'll try 10.4.8 again later, but Windows 7 runs very fine on this machine.

Thanks for your help!
