homestarr
I recently installed OSX to an external drive so that I could test it on different computers. I forgot (doh) to install the AMD kernel (I have an AMD laptop) and was wondering if I could add additional kernels somehow WITHOUT reinstalling iDeneb. The process took a good 4 hours since the external drive is slow so I'd really like it if I could just install the new kernel somehow, thanks! Just to clarify, I have a few Intel machines and on those the external usb install works fine, it's just that I have one laptop that's AMD... Gujal
just get the voodoo kernel and copy it to your external hardisk root directory naming the file voodoo so when you connect to AMD laptop, boot with "voodoo" as the option and on Intel just use the default "mach_kernel" Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/165162-add-additional-kernels-post-install/#findComment-1150143 Share on other sites
