dtm3dd
Hi guys for those of you with SATA try changing it to emulate ATA in the bios press F2 or similar before windows boots/osx tries to. I have this problem unless I change it to ATA if you are trying to install do it before booting fromt he DVD. In my (dell dimension 8400) bios I have to go to: drives -> SATA Operation I am then faced with four options: RAID Autodetect/AHCI, RAID Autodetect/ATA, RAID on, and Combination When I want to load MacOSX I select RAID Autodetect/ ATA Then MacOSX loads fine. When you want to load windows again make sure to change it back to the default (in my case Autodetect/AHCI) otherwise youll have a BSOD but dont panic simply turn off and on again and change the settings back in the BIOS. Try doing it with this infront of you. Hope this helps Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/16498-freezes-at-starting-os-x/page/2/#findComment-119470 Share on other sites
