Funny you mention that now, I just thought of getting a iBook / Powerbook Motherboard for a server project yesterday.

 

From what I know, you need the Mobo, including DC to DC board; and DC in board. They are sometimes included. Just look out for it.

There is Sata for the internal HD so you could connect the HD there, or do it through FireWire (better support for sleep disk than USB)

 

Keep us updated; I'll do the same if I get mine rolling.

BTW, it won't really be a Hackintosh, it would be a real one, hacked :)

I think its possible, but probably not worth it given the current state of hacks. You would need about $150 in extras to get up and running (ac adapter, mini dvi adapter, heatsinks, ribbon cables sata/keyboard, memory etc). Check out the following:
