dewdoobrown Posted May 1, 2006 Share Posted May 1, 2006 make sure in ur bios that PCI-E is enabled. I had the same issue when I first installed os x. I had to enable my pci-e/vga in the bios. west28 Posted May 1, 2006 Author Share Posted May 1, 2006 OSX 10.4.3 8f1111 ( install with mach_kernel.orig ) Pentium D 940 3.2Ghz Asus P5LD2 Ati sapphire x1600 Pro 256Mb MD Maxtor 160Gb SATA2 Pioneer DVD 111d ...after install the system boot normally! ( safari crash always! ) ...black screen ( with mouse pointer visible ) after add ati *1000* extensions from version 10.4.4 with my videocard id "0x71C21002" ...need 10.4.4 frameworks (AGL.Framework and OpenGL.Framework) for activate CI & QE FROM THIS FORUM: All you need to do is add the extra AGL.Framework and OpenGL.Framework files (don't replace any) from the 10.4.4 framework And add all the RadeonX1000 files into the Extensions folder from the 10.4.4 Extensions Note: Both of these are on rapid share - check the osx86project thread for links. repair the permissions (I did this through disk utility) open terminal and type: sudo -s <enter your password> chown -R root:wheel /System/Library/Extensions chmod -R 755 /System/Library/Extensions kextload ATIRadeonX1000.kext (just to check it has worked) Reboot and enjoy CI & QE sorry for my english!
