yes it should work without anyproblem with amd , you'll only have to fix smb sharing if you use it, there's a ppf for dvd too if you want to do a clean install

Yeah, cheers... I did it about 4 hours ago... Worked like a charm!

But, this "smb sharing" - what's that?

it's to access windows shared drives over a network, if you don't have a windows box with shared drives on your network you could careless about it

How do I fix it...? 'Cause I can't access the main PC now (which has Windows XP on it) :D

Also, when I installed it - the first time I booted, it came up with my SATA drives, and I was like "No Way! :poster_oops:" and then I was viewing the files, and it crashed... I rebooted, and they aren't there anymore, and the kext AppleViaATA doesn't work anymore....

Delete the applevia kext is not safe for nforce4 it will lead to hd corruption.

About the smb from a terminal:

sudo -s

rm /usr/sbin/AppleFileServer

ln -s /System/Library/CoreServices/AppleFileServer.app/Contents/MacOS/AppleFileServer

if it still doesn't work after a reboot you need to copy back the smbfs.kext from 10.4.5
