Brandon-G Posted April 10, 2009 Share Posted April 10, 2009 I'm trying to use a retail 10.5.2 DVD that came with my macbook to install OS X on my other laptop. I have a boot DVD, then swap it for the OS X dvd, and I see the apple logo, then I see the standard "space" wallpaper, but the mouse cursor just stays busy and nothing happens for an hour. I took the internal HD out and am trying to install on an external HD Any ideas? Trying to install on a HP DV5T Core 2 Duo T5800 4GB DDRII Intel 4500MHD 1TB External HD connected via USB Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
matmatoo Posted April 10, 2009 Share Posted April 10, 2009 Finally! I also have that problem!! my system hangs at the nightsky wallpaper and the cursor shows that spinning rainbow circle for ages, infact it never leaves that part!!! Matt Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
