Arfer Posted April 6, 2009 Share Posted April 6, 2009 iATKOS v.1.0i cannot install “still waiting for root service” Hi I have been trying to install iATKOS v.1.0i using a DVD and the install gets as far as a kind of stop/no entry sign so I tried using –v after a couple of failed attempts and got as far as “still waiting for root service” I am supposing that there must be something I’m missing here as I have only this afternoon installed onto another machine of mine with no issues at all using this same DVD. The machine that I really need the OS on is a Dell Dimension E520 with Vista on the C: patition, Recovery on the D: partition. I have freed up 35GB of unallocated space on the disk for this install. Here is what Belarc says about the machine in question... any help with this most greatfully appreciated.
