DbLoCk3NiNe
Hey, I been trying to install the Mac OS X on my laptop but have come up short. I first tried to install the marklar-tiger.iso and got as far as formatting my hard drive but after that I couldnt boot. Now I'm using the hotiso-10.4.6.iso but cant get pass the install screen because after I type in "-v" I get a error message about PAE(which my cup doesnt have) and the wried thing is that I didnt get that error when I was using the marklar-tiger.iso which I don't understand. I tried patching the marklar-tiger.iso and had the same problems with it and with the hotiso-10.4.6.iso I patched it with the jas 10.4.6 patch(used this since everyone says the hotiso is the same as the jas iso), which didnt help at all. So do you guys have a idea on what I should try? Thank You....... Also I'm trying to install it using vwmare. I have a Dell Inspiron 600m(Intel M 1.6mhz, 60gb Hard Drive, ATI 9000, 1gb ddr ram EDIT by moderator - no shouting please Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/16020-mac-os-x-hotiso-146/ Share on other sites

DbLoCk3NiNe
back again with more bad news :-( lol Well I tried to install Mac OSX 10.4.6(using VWmare) but this time with the jas10.4.6.iso and im still getting that "pae" problem. Also I downloaded the jas.10.4.6.install.ppf and patched the iso with that but still get the same problem. Here is the thing, I never got that "pae" problem when I first started to try to install mac osx, so why would it just come up now as if my cpu just doesnt allow it anymore. So do you guys have any idea on what I should do? Thanks A Lot Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/16020-mac-os-x-hotiso-146/#findComment-103179 Share on other sites

moseschrist
try searching google for maxxuss patches... i found it there... somewhere on the web... but unfourtunatly my pentium m 735 (1.7Ghz) still wouldn't boot under vmware and just as you i believe there won't be any problem installing in native (not vmware) but i don't have access to dvdburner yet... hopefully this weekend i will... if you managed to get to it before me, please let me know of your results. btw i tried the hotiso version and the universal install cd version Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/16020-mac-os-x-hotiso-146/#findComment-103492 Share on other sites
