These are two that I found that have OS X drivers on the company website:

Encore ENLWI-N 802.11 b/g/n internal pci card ($24.99 at Newegg)

Trendnet TEW-644UB wireless N USB adapter ($27.99 at Newegg)

It took me a while to find these, hope it helps other folks that are building systems now. I'm going to get the Encore internal PCI for my i7 920 system.

Eminent EM4557 lists 10.4 as a supported OS.

Of course we're left in the dark about leopard support. I'll probaply buy it to try it out... (Encore is not available in my area :))

Edit: So we do really need these drivers and there's only 10.4 and 10.3 packages provided on the Driver CD supplied. Above all; they don't provide the driver on their site so we can't check it out in front as well :(. Guess that's not gonna work then...

Edit2: I mailed eminent support and got a response which basically stated the following.(Freely translated from dutch).

Eminent doesn't offer active support. However, the EM4557 uses the RT2860 chipset by RalinkTech. On their website a driver is listed for Mac os X 10.5.

This is the driver:

And this is a FAQ about the RT2860 chipset.

  • 1 month later...

I am having a problem with this card. I can get it to work with said drivers using a retail 10.5.4 build, however, when I install the updates I can no longer get my wireless to work. When I start the Ralink app I get "No Device..." in the status area. The app also does not start at boot anymore (always would when it worked)
