cmayor
Does anyone have sleep or shutdown working with the ASUS P5E-VM HDMI? On sleep my screen goes blank and everything except the case fan shuts down (optical mouse stays lit up), however the system won't wake up. I've tried the different power settings (S1, S3) with no luck. I'm running iDeneb 1.4 with the 9.5 Voodoo kernel. Any troubleshooting tips? Thanks. misterx
I have the same motherboard with Q9400, and most of the problem seems to be USB-related. I can now sleep/shutdown/restart 95% of times. (I'll explain 5% lack below). First, you have to install USB 2.0 driver from this thread. http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=117029 To my knowledge, most of sleep problems will be gone after the install. For restart and shutdown, try to install OpenHaltRestart.kext Or, I've also installed poweroff-fix from this thread. http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php...st&p=639741 I'm not sure if both packages are needed, but it cured my shutdown/restart problems. I also have patched DSDT.aml loaded with Chameleon 2 RC2. This may be helping me, but I have no idea. My weirdest yet-to-be-solved issue is that I cannot restart AFTER sleep. Funny thing is that it restarts perfectly BEFORE sleep command is given. It also shuts down perfectly before and after sleep. So my 5% lacking functionality is that "restart after sleep". Someone mentioned that it may be bug in ASUS motherboards, but there seems no solutions yet.
