Shroomie
Has anyone had any success getting a dial-up modem to work? I've yet to try the OS, but I was thinking of building a cheapo Intel box for it. If I'm not going to be able to get on the internet though, I might just try it on my laptop or something. Don't think the modems you can get with dells work either. Shroomie
You have no idea how many people I would kill for cable or dsl... But sadly, they say there's "not enough demand" where I live to run cable out here, so I'm stuck with dial-up or satelite (which was ~$100 a month last I checked). I'll stick with the dial-up. A-Dubb
When I went through the network setup there was an option for 56K modems. Could try that. Nice to see you Shroomie. Get a handset with BT and GPRS and DUN support and voila if your PC have a BT adapter (They are cheap nowadays) you can use the handset as a GPRS modem for browsing . .sometimes it is faster if not as fast as 56K dial up........ give it a try Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/1562-any-dial-up-success/#findComment-10517 Share on other sites
