Here's the deal. In the Thinkpad T60p, the only thing not working is the audio on OSX.

My question is whether there is an external ExpressCard based audio card for the Mac that could be used inside the Thinkpad, sort of like the CreativeLabs PCMCIA sound card for laptops?

Anyone else have ideas on how to get native audio support for the Thinkpad T60p?

I'll try to find out what the audio chip actually is.

moomoomoo, wow thanks for that tip. what kind of thinkpad have you seen this working on? i am just curious.

also, not having audio input is less of an issue for me, i mostly care about audio output. of course if anyone finds a way to do input, please post it!

I have a X60s. It's HDA audio codec chip is ADI SoundMAX.

You can confirm the device id of your machine's codec chip from windows device manager.
