NoSmokingBandit
Download osx86tools (google it) and it will find/install the driver for you. You might need to turn achi off after it does this. Gringo Vermelho
That happened to me too once when i installed the wrong combination of drivers for my drive controllers. Shut down your computer and plug in the monitor in the other DVI plug. Boot. If you still get a blue screen try booting into safe mode with -x and reinstall the drivers you were using before. You did make a backup right? About the other thing; If your motherboard has the intel ICH10 controller, the PATA controller is a separate chip and needs separate drivers, just like it does under Windows - ICH10 does not support PATA devices. On my ASUS P5Q-E for example, PATA devices are connected to a Marvell 88SE6121 controller. So you need to identify the PATA controller on your motherboard and find the proper drivers for it. Or you can buy a $10 converter that lets you connect your PATA drives to your SATA controller and be done with it. Orange Icon fixes for ICHx are abundant on the forums. Use the search.
