A Lot of thought and discussion has went into the topic of running Windows on Mac Hardware.

Has anyone thought of doing it the other way around. that is being able to run OS X on standard issue PC hardware.

Lets have opinions

Uhm, this is what this whole site is mainly about. Why do you think the image on the main paige is of a Dell running OS X?

Most users here are in fact running OS X on standard PCs - hence the moniker OSx86.

:(

... Lemme get you up-to-date:

Due to the transition to Intel processors, Apple had to remake the Operating System to operate properly on x86 architecture, thus OSx86 was made. However, because of that, we are now actually able to run it on a normal x86 PC (with few problems).

Anyway that's basically it, summarized in 2 sentences :)

Although, I must say, if you want a "true" Mac experience, I highly recommend you buy one ;)
