Hi, this morning I've installed succesfully iDeneb 1.4 on my HP DV-5 1116EL, and everything works perfectly, except the boot.

As I turn on the PC, an error pops up : boot0: error. I fixed that error by entering the terminal with the installation DVD, as a thread suggested. Now, when I power on, I get this message:

boot0 :MBR

boot0: done.

I can't figure out how to solve this problem. I've started Leopard with the DVD inserted, used OSX86 Tools Utility but I can't install EFI, Darwin Loader and I can't run FDISK from there.

HELP!

Thanks in advance.

So you were able to get into OS X to install Chameleon?

If not, try hitting F8 with the install DVD in and entering rd=diskXsY (where X=disk #, Y=partition # of your OSX partition).

If you get in, try to install the newest version of Chameleon and then setting your OS X partition to active.

Setting partition active: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=22844 but use "disk" rather than "rdisk" if you are in the OS.

Nothing mate, I can't solve this.

If I enter in the OS, and follow the restore procedure with "disk" instead of "rdisk" I get access denied.

If i type rdisk eccetera in the dvd boot, i enter the OS and can't set a resolution but 1024x768.

I think I'm gonna recover Vista with the recovery DVD's, and hope that to fix the MBR.

(sorry for my english)

Good morning everyone.

Yesterday evening I recovered Vista, and the boot finally worked. Once in Vista, I've installed BSC perfectly, but when I selected Mac Os X, nothing happened. So I've deleted my Mac partition and installed everything again.

Now I have this problem :

If i try to access the system with the DVD, an error message pops up telling me to restart the system. If I normally start the Pc, boot0:error pops up.

Should I follow the "how to make a partiion active" guide?

lemme ask you about your partition scheme. do you by any chance have a "logical partition"?
