denied
JaS install went great, things work now that never did before (trackpad/keyboard). But I get a 'b0 error' when I boot from the HDD. If I leave any bootable CD/DVD in and then tell that CD to boot the HDD, all is well. I usually get b0 errors when I try to boot from certain USB drives, but never the primary HDD. Someone on demonoid also commented that they get the same error. Must be repairable, but what tools would I use to investigate/fix? nopee
Hi denied. I had the same problem as you and i solved it quite easily. I used extended fdisk and noticed that my bootup drive wasn't set as active. Changed that and rebooted. Now it works nicely. vladid
Hi I am having same problem with b0 error, not sure what extended fdisk is, any expanded information as to what I need to do would be helpful. I have checked all bios setting and cannot find a problem, when I change boot order to load HD before cd I get no boot disk message instead. Thanks for any help, and thanks to all on this site for all the participation and work put in. nopee
Extended fdisk is a partition application wich allows you to change/add/remove/activate your connected hardrives. I have a nice bootcd with it. Search for Hiren's Boot CD. I think my version of it is 7.9, and as you may understand, extended fdisk is included. good luck. vladid
Thank you Nopee, just needed to set the HD to active with extended fdisk, that did the trick . Still fiddling with sound, none at the moment, but I am going to try some of the solutions that other have had luck with. I have Realtek 882 on this motherboard, several have had success, so I am hoping I will as well. These machines are fast, I am just testing to prepare for a purchase of an intel mac when the new desktop machnes come out, but for now I don't have top have two machines running to deal with some Windows solutions for my work. Parallels is really pretty good, and they are not done yet. Thanks again, to all others helping this process along as well. dualBooter
extended fdisk worked like a charm for me also. After I did a fresh native install from JaS 10.4.6 install DVD, I had the b0 error, but NO MORE!! Thanx Hiren!! :-) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/15447-b0-error-after-clean-1046-install-jas/#findComment-100447 Share on other sites
