Looks like an interesting tester... I a really interested on the PCI-X slots... would those work? Can I use a PCI-X raid card like a g5?
alc0h0lic
I like the specs of the future conroe motherboards I hope the 975 chipset will run on osx86...
RiceTea
Any ideas on this one? Looks like an interesting tester... I a really interested on the PCI-X slots... would those work? Can I use a PCI-X raid card like a g5? Seems overloaded, the provided RAID control for example is unlikely to work. I would also miss an onboard graphics chip (the Intel GMA 950), which is still a very good option for OSX86. PCI-X cards however may work unless they are specifically designed for the G5 mac, or need special driver software for Windoze machines.

I didn't see any specific drivers for them, so I am asuming that they are standard, which means I don't need a driver in OSX. It's worth a shot! scandic
Well, I own this board and it's just pure fun. However, you won't get OSX running with a funny setup but with WinXP x64 or any linux you will love it. I'm running a PD960 at 4.8GHz with 4GB DDR2-800 on it (watercooled). dontbeefkeith
Hey doods, I have ths motherboard too, it does rock. You have to follow the ALC882 hack (remove applehda kext etc...) to get the sound working, and I've had no success with the dual marvell gigabit lan but... Its got native support for ddr800 ram and a massive overclocking function, at the moment my pentium d950's running at 3.91 Ghz per core nice and stable. I will let you know if I get that lan working! beef oh, and does this mobo support efi? hmm
