I've got the same board, using the onboard graphics. I haven't gotten it to install properly yet, but that could be because I'm using an old Pentium D processor.

I can tell you that the onboard LAN is detected, and the onboard audio should work. Your CPU should run the vanilla kernel.

I have this motherboard the asus p5n73-am with 4 gig of memory nvidia geforce 512mb 8400 gs and have installed iPC Mac OSX 10.5.6 which all now works well (thanks to the community!) apart from I cannot get the ****@& sound to work at all [/b] - I ORIGINALLY installed Kalaway 10.5.2 and tried every solution going including a "guaranteed" one: cart-pati-appleac97audio.kext which actually nuked my installation. I have tried the appleac97 variants and also nvinject latest and azalia and mistico but all fail!! PLEASE help me resolve this as all else is working fine. Oner thing as a newbie although a dos and windows veteran is that I don't understand how to remove an audio driver that hasn't worked so have had to reinstall each time. Sad I know but no amount of searching the site enables me to catch up with some of the more obscure stuff. Please guys don't always assume that I know to return at the end of a sudo line - just treat me like the noob I am and tell me fully what to do please! I have set the bios to ac97 although the onboard audio is a via hd sound - the audio codec is via vt1708b. I thought of installing a compatible PCI audio card but the spare pci is fouled by the graphics card - great design ASUS!

I would especially welcome a simple solution to this problem that won't screw up my system again! Thanks
