starfoxtf
Hello, I'm very happy with my one week old Asus P5LD2-VM! But I installed Windows XP to play a few games and everytime i want to format a floppy it says: "Windows was unable to complete the format"! I installed every driver, is my Motherboard defect? Is it better to change it in store? PLZ give me a hint what i should do... starfoxtf Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/15243-asus-p5ld2-vm-plz-give-me-an-advice/ Share on other sites
Malketh
Are you sure your floppy drive is installed properly on the hardware side of things? declan
Have you tried another floppy drive, you floppy drive may be at fault. I take it your cables are correctly fitted, pin 1 in the right place. declan
Have to try the obvious first, if your sure the cables the right way, tried more than one cable and floppy, it enabled in the bios, then its gonna be the MB, since you don't need to do anything for windows to work with a floppy drive.
