If you are European you can now buy non-Apple computers with Mac OS X pre-installed through German PearC:

https://www.pearc.de/index.php

Their site is only in German and the prices are quite expensive, though.

Edit: I am sorry. I just realized that LioNEXT had already started a similar thread.

This PC works with EFI Emulation. Hhhmmm... Chameleon a'ka EFIv9?

This kind of stuff makes me sick to my stomach. This goes against the whole reason people use OSx86. It's for hobbyists. I'm sure a lot of you can agree with me when I say I enjoy building the system and trying to get it up and running MYSELF.

I tend to agree, actually. Also because people like PearC make quite a nice profit on their computers.

really alot? what i did was checking the part prices on alternate (cheapest german hardware seller) and you would end up with a price about 10% away from what they offer, depending on what tower and psu they use.

it's not expensive for a system (the low end is expensive), but not cheap either, as i said.

i would never buy one of those because they are not mac clones, the don't offer me a mac for a lower price tag, they offer me a computer wich will work with osx as they ship it to me, they can't say that it will work with 10.5.7 or snow kitty like it woul if i buy the real thing, so there is no point in buying this thing.

but i'm with them in one point, there is no one in germany who could stop them for selling this things, a eula simply doesn't matter. but they are also screwed if there boxes won'T work with the next update because the customer will get legal support for getting back his money if the install breaks and he doesn't get whats offerd.

right now there is imho a chance that no one will get anything beside a hole in the pocket, you don't make an onlineshop and then write on the website you are in progress to get a tax number, thats simply {censored} for a something real

really alot?

How about this one:

The HD is smaller, but that shouldn't make much of a difference in price if you want a larger one.

You can find without any problem prices that are 10% below of those Alternate is offering.

PearC seams dubious to me. Looks like a very small, not even fully developed company, with a shiney website, not

granting real answers on whats the deal. You can't even order by phone they say. I wonder what their support line

will say? Go look up some OSX86 forums for help!

As I see it, they are just some guys jumping on the OSX86 bandwagon for making a fast buck. I hope they chooke on it.

PS: They are offering a rebate of 50 Euro when ordering before 1. february 09! Seams they are not even able to take

that down for the last 9 days. There you go...

If you check my link above, you can save a lot more than 10%.
