you can mount the disk image and install from it but you will have to use virtual machine. you could get virtual machine to install it directly to a partition instead of a virtual disk but i'd agree and say its better to boot from the disk nativley instead.

You can use vmware to install osx and after that you can boot it just like you boot windows.. vmware is not needed anymore..

 

is vmware used to install OSX and that's it? or everytime i want to use OSX i have to do it thru vmware? how can i boot OSX without vmware? i meant how to change the system settings to dual boot it with winXP?
