Device Type: Sound Card Manufacturer: Realtek Model: Realtek ALC880(D) @ Intel 82801FB ICH6 - High Definition Audio Controller [b-1] PCI Interface: PCI / ISA Operating System: Windows XP Home/Leopard/Windows 7 Alright I have tried all the methods and drivers provided on this Forum. Trust me when I say ALL I MEAN ALL! even Taruga didn't work.( I know its a turtle not a frog!). I need the sound card to work on Leopard I plan on using it as my default OS relieving me from XP! Is there anyone at all that can help me fix this because I am even willing to jump back to TIGER! in order to make this work. What should I do! any help or suggestion is appreciated ALRIGHT I GOT SUMTHIN TO WORK I downloaded the AzaliaAudio.pkg and the sound symbol finally showed up but there is still no sound! mehdymehdy Posted February 3, 2009 Share Posted February 3, 2009 you need to work on applehda.kext that's the only way u get ur sound card fully working . or atleast u'll get headphone and maybe mice working. so try the posts on sticky . try how to patch applehda.kext read it carefully. if ur lucky u'll get urs working . just to let u know most important thing is editing the plist specially the pathmap part . if u get that currect u'll have things working for u. ofcourse u need to make codec dump in linux . so good luck . read and try different ways.
