fr3z3rburn
I have had absolutely no luck with my system with leopard up until just now. I have tried every single way that i possibly could (with flags, every single different release, Boot 132 disc with custom kexts, etc). I have finally found a way to actually install Leo on my crappy desktop through the new iPC OSX86 10.5.6 disc. The other reason why...... the DVD uses Voodoo kernel and Chameleon to boot. The exact things that i need to actually run Leo on my desktop. I installed and it even said "Install Successful". I reboot, set up the system, immediately get a kernel panic. If i boot with flags -f -x, it works perfectly, but i would much rather not have to run in safe mode all the time to use my desktop. I didnt know if anyone had the same problems as me because i have scoured these forums to try to find an answer so i have given up on finding an answer. I will now let the very knowledgeable community decide exactly what to do. I installed with Voodoo kernel 9.5.0 and Chameleon (not sure which version) along with the VoodooPower patch and the 10.5.5 seatbelt.kext and the 10.5.5 Finder fix. (I just tried a bunch of combinations and it seemed as though this one worked the best.) My specs are: HP dc5000 uT Business Desktop Pentium 4 2.0 GHz with SSE2 only Intel 865GV Chipset HP motherboard 1.125 GB of DDR RAM EVGA GeForce 6200 256 MB Realtek Ethernet NIC SB Live! 5.1 Digital (Dell) If you need to know any other specs, please tell me and i will add them. P.S. I was just wondering... Can you use Software Update with voodoo kernel? Thanks for all your help guys (and gals)......... fr3z3rburn
I took a picture of the kernel panic and have attached it to this post. It never happens when I am in safe boot, but there is no audio in safe boot, or else i would just run in safe boot and not waste anyone's time. But if anyone would like to see what the deal could possibly be, just let me know what you think the deal is. Thanks!!!!
