bigboss Posted April 14, 2006 Share Posted April 14, 2006 There is a patch that is appearing on some torrent sites (i.e. the bay of the pirate and the spy of the torrent.. you can also search for it on the hunt for isos) I tried installing this on my working 10.4.5 install from my bootable dvd. I wouldnt suggest installing it as it's either a fake or just unusable. OS X boots but when I try to log in as a user, it usually crawls to a standstill. I did try entering in platform=ACPI and idlehalt=0 (I know its for Dual-Core stuttering but hey, its worth a try I thought) but it didnt stop the stuttering.. I also disabled Hyper-Threading (I still have a P4 Prescott) but that wasnt particularily helpful either. Lucky for me, I made a disk image backup just incase something stupid like this would happen so I'm restoring my install to 10.4.5 and I would not recommend downloading this file.
