x2percentmilk
Hey everyone, I posted on uphucks forum a while ago but so far have yet to receieve a reply. I have a Compaq Presario v5000 laptop that im trying to dual boot XP and Leopard. I have two partitions set up, and have it so I can select which partition to boot to at startup. Problem is however, my iatkos installation (latest version) says it installed cleanly, but gets stuck at the light blue screen after the apple logo, and eventually starts looping some techno like music. My initial iatkos install got stuck at the apple logo, kalyway didnt even make it to the install screen, and this try of iatkos with the toh kernel and a couple other customize options checked has made it this far. anyone know what the hell i did wrong? or have any experience fixing this or installing on this laptop? Ive burned so many damn iatkos dvd's im going out of my mind >.< haha any help would be greatly appreciated System Specs: Compaq Presario v5000 Intel Celeron M 1.46GHZ 504mb of Ram Graphics: Mobile Intel 945GM Chipset Family, Intel GMA 950, 128mb thanks Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/148616-stuck-at-blue-screen-after-boot/ Share on other sites
RitoN
I get the same result on my config with iDeneb 10.5.5 and iPC 10.5.6. I've no idea on how to solve the problem. I still can boot using -x -f options but then, I get no sound .... x2percentmilk
after scrolling through just about everything the moving on to the blue screen, i see a few lines right at the end similar to Started[...lots of text...] display: family specific matching fails GFX0: family specific matching fails GFX0: family specific matching fails displaylocalhost cannnot resolve dependencies for kernel extension GFX0: family specific matching fails [...some more text...] warning: sandbox something or other if you need the full errors i can be more specific, they just disapear after a few seconds so id have to keep booting untill i wrote it all down. do i need to load a specific graphics driver? do you know if there is one? is that what its even trying to tell me? haha thanks for the reply.
