1. Here is my new story. I'm trying to install snow leopard on my config. I successfully installed Iatkos s3 v2 on my computer but there is no graphic driver for me. So I updated it with the combo update 10.6.8. Unfortunately, after reboot I've got a kernal panic with PM version 17 different from kernel 23. I tried at boot to type "pmVersion=23" --> KP I tried at boot to type "pmVersion=0" --> KP When typing "-x v- pmVersion=0", the system boot and I'm able to play with it (I'm writting my message using that boot option). Then, I tried to change my kext with ##### using the ##### method --> same result. Last attempt was to install a new sleepenabler using kext helper b7. --> same result again. Any other idea? I know my graphic driver are in the graphic update that come after 10.6.4...
2. Network's workin' doing nothing. For graphic I tried to apply the combo update 10.6.8. With options -x -v pmVersion=0 I can boot and my resolution is 1900*1200 but w/o that, I have a sleepenable kernel panic I also tried to update the sleepenabler kext w/o success. I tried option pmVersion=21 or pmVersion=23 but I still get the kernel panic.
3. Thanks for your tutorial. How did you manage to make the network working? I also need drivers for my ATI 5450 and I don't know what to select... I guess that I need to find separate package for both of them... ?
4. I really would like to do that. But I don't have enough time. I looked at the DSDT thing a little bit and didn't understood much :-/ Maybe I'll try when I'll be less busy. Keep on giving us precious information.
5. Hi, I've got about the same computer as you: a HDX16 X16-1050ef. I installed successfully SL using snow OSX 3.6. But, there is a but, the screen resolution was locked, no sound and the network was strange (I did have an ip address but I was unable to join any server). Then I tried Leo Hazard but it ended with a kernel panic. I'm now trying Leo Hazard 10.6.2 with other drivers using the informations provided in your post.
8. Graphic Lockup

Hi, I'm currently running iDeneb 10.5.8 with my hardware. I have a radeon HD 2600 XT and sometimes, my computer is stuck. What I mean by stuck is that I can't do anything more. In fact, if I'm listening to music, music keeps playing, only the graphic part is stuck, except the mouse cursor that can still move, but nothing else is moving anymore. If it stuck when I'm doing a file copy, I can wait till it is finished to reboot my computer. My only solution is to reset my computer. It's really boring and I never found any solution. The other day I was searching for logs but I didn't fine good ones. Does anyone has ever had such a problem ? I'm pretty sure this is related to my graphic card but who knows, it may be somewhere else in the system. The graphic driver I'm using is ATY_init
9. [HOW TO] ATI Radeon HD2600 Series for Hackintosh

use iDeneb 10.5.8. It's perfectly working for my radeon 2600 XT PCI-e
10. I've no idea. I just can give you an advice. Do not install SL since your graphic card is a 2600 XT. I have the same. There is no way to make it work properly. I mean you can't have graphic acceleration. Exposé will be slow, you won't be able to play divx in VLC and so on. Wait for a solution before thinking to an upgrade.
11. Ich verstehe nicht. Entschuldigung Sie sich.
13. I've read some article on the net. Apple does not implement openCL for the radeon 2600. But I still don't understand why QE/CI is not working. Has it been removed from SL ?
14. Has QE/CI been replaced by openCL in snow leopard ? If yes, how can I activate it ?
15. I have the same problem. It seems there is no solution about that. I'm really thinking about returning to leopard.
