Hello all

I spent rather a long time setting up 10.4.1 on my Dell, and it's been working swimmingly for a good while now.

I am interested in updating to 10.4.6 - but the question is, how simple is that to achieve? What do I need to download and what do I need to be careful about?

Will I lose my sound drivers I spent AGES configuring?

Help much appreciated.

I'm unable to answer any of you're questions but am able to direct you to a thread that might help. It's titled from 10.4.4 and 10.4.5 (or is meant to be) to 10.4.6 but might help.

I'm having major problems with my sound and have been told I can't get it work as no one knows how to make it work. I have a Sigmatel HD STAC 92XX. I was wondering what you have and maybe you can tell me how you got it to work.

Hope the link is of some use.

I think before anyone can help your system profile needs to be listed...what is in your box and have you check the wiki?? I have a dell latitude d600 and installing and playing with 10.4.1 was so annoying it took until 10.4.5 before I updated. You'd be amazed how much you learn about an OS just from playing with it and reconfiguring it to work on your system. goodluck and post more info.
