L3P
Hi Everyone, I recently reloaded Leopard (10.5.5) on my hackentosh. It seems to be working most of the time however about every other reboot it hangs on start up (log below). The only way I have found to get around this is to boot -v -x. Once I am in to the Finder I run the following tests from the OSX86 tools app Repair Permissions, Set Extensions Permissions, Clear Extensions Cache, Clear User Application Cache, Clean System App Chache, Run CRON Maint. Scrpts, Update Prebinding, and Touch Extensions Folder. After these scripts have run I usually am able start up once in normal mode. However, one restart later without running the maint scripts I hang. Process: kextload [2844] Path: /sbin/kextload Identifier: kextload Version: ??? (???) westwaerts
the "CFGetHostUUIDString: unable to determine UUID for host. Error: 35" is very common, dont bother with that. it is the smbf.kext what is causing troubles. so google for help, i cant help you, cause dont know what its for.
