That's likely the cause for many of your applications to not work. I think you are installing injectors the wrong way or there is something wrong with your system. The 8600gt 256mb is one of the most compatible cards with MacOS and 99% of the injectors should give you CI and QE. May I ask you how you've installed the kext you got from me? EDIT: Sorry, I did not read your last post. The card should work on 10.5.2 till 10.5.5 but I didn't try 10.5.6, so I can't tell you if it will work or not. My old 8600gt 512mb worked out of box with efistudio.
