I've spent about 7 hours each day for the past 3 days trying to install os x on my pc. Most of this time includes reading.

I cant get past the still waiting for root drive error.

Things i am working with:

AMD Athlon 64 3000+

Western digital 120 gb WDC WD1200JB-00GVC0

MOBO: Chaintech vnf4 ultra nvidia nforce4 ultra chipset

ATI Radeon x800GT w/ 256mb

2.5 gb of ram

Looking to dual both xp and 10.5.?

Things ive done:

i ve used kalyway 10.5.2 and iDeneb 10.5.5

HD is on ide primary master and currently on cable select (tried it with set on master as well, but i read somewhere that with WD harddrives you dont have to have it on master)

DVD rom is pluged in with ide secondary master on master.

Please help me figure out my problem.

Just think, if you had a job for those 21 hours, you'd have enough money to buy an Intel CPU and be a 100% compatible hackintosh.. AMD CPU's just won't cut it.

:P or maybe even enough money to cover the price difference for a mac! well apparently, those hours have been wasted and the current economy (lack of a job) allows me to do nothing but kill my time trying to use an AMD cpu for OS x. But i d rather not kill any more of my time so please give me some assistance!
