The machine:

Intel DP35DP, core2quad q6600, geforce 8600 gt, 4gig ram ddr2-800 and a cheap realtek for ethernet...

as far as I can see, this system should be 100% compatible right? So, why on the earth this damm thing hangs at the whit screen with the apple logo?

I am using iDeneb but have already tried all the others...

I've tried all the kernels, even though vannila should work right?

I've tried smbioses, I've tried patches and nothing...

Please, help me or I swear I will start eating all the apples I can just to hurt them!!! And I really mean it!

whenever I try to boot using -x, I just get to install system again... seems that using -x makes it boot from the dvd and install it again...

Another issue is that without iDeneb dvd on tray it doesnt boot, it says that "os was not found" or something like that.

So, news from my hackintosh... I did it!!!!

Enableing Ahci and using iAtkos made it work! The only thing that is kinda boring is that in order to start the system I must use -x or it wont boot...

Anyway, I guess it is just a matter of customizing it more to get a perfect install!

My next challenge is to make a sis chipset work! May god bless me!

I have the retail install and my hd set to ide this is the only thing that works for my sytem and not the ahci mode. I will try to post a picture of it, dont know were to find it, sugestions.

Not when using the vanilla retail install as it requires the drives to be ahci (like a real mac does)
