hi everyone. im new here, and im also wonderin to install os x86 to my pc. but the problem is,that i don't have dvd-rw. just dvd-rom. and i can't burn dvds on my pc. can i install from hard drive, or from cds. or maybe i can do anything else? I need your help :) best regards to you all...

It's very possible because I have done it. I didn't any dvd disk and stores were closed on the sunday I was installing.

Basically you need to get the deadmoo and install vmware. Then speed things up in vmware by folowing the tips at the wiki link at the top of the page. Once you got a fast vmware installed and deadmoo mounted, don't touch any settnigs. Just close/shut down Mac and vmware.

Then all you need is to download Ubanto Live CD or if you are familiar with other linux live cd, use it. First thing you need to do is partition your drive. I used partitionmagic to create a 15gig partition and made it primary as well. Don't worry, it wont be bootable and you wont loose your MBR. Restart the computer for changes to take affect. Then mount the Ubantu Live CD on vmware and do the create your AF partition procedure. PLEASE do you research before messing with partion tables. It can really ruin your week.

Once you have got your AF partition setup, do the "dd" procedure and it will copy all of the files from deadmoo to your new AF partition. Once that's done, Go and do your dual boot procedure. There are alot to choose from. I chose chain0 as it was really quick and painless.

Good luck m8 and remember to DO YOUR RESEARCH!
