AndreaGalileo
Is a 1.50GHz Bus Speed, Possible? Just wondering. My PC has been overclocked a bit. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/145605-is-a-150ghz-bus-speed-possible/ Share on other sites
MacUser2525
That is what it should be your running the FSB at 375 in Intel's terminology it is quad pumped so 4x375=1500mhz or 1.5ghz for the bus speed. AndreaGalileo
Thanks! Strange logic, why not just 375mhz... Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/145605-is-a-150ghz-bus-speed-possible/#findComment-1033614 Share on other sites
MacUser2525
Thanks! Strange logic, why not just 375mhz... Not at all the FSB like the processor has a multiplier so for your processor you have a default speed of 2.66ghz (8x333mhz) with the bus running at 1333mhz (4x333mhz) if you were running at your stock speed the bus speed in OS X would show the 1333mhz or 1.3ghz. It shows the same 1.5ghz in my spare machine which I have the same processor in running at 3ghz my main machine shows 1.4ghz because the FSB runs at 350 for the q6600 I have in it running at 3.15ghz.
