Posted April 9, 2006 Share Posted April 9, 2006 Hello, I'm running 10.4.5 on a motherboard with a VIA 8237 southbridge (Soltek K8TPro-939 motherboard), and I've got everything working except the sound only works out of the left channel. I have just spent a few hours searching the WIKI and the forum for some answers. I've gotten a few leads, and I've tried a few different things, but nothing's fixing it. I looked inside the AC97 kext, and my ID is listed in there under VIA, 0x30591106. I edited the other sections of the kext to include that ID as well, just in case it's trying to find another type of card, but still no luck. I've tried the kext from Darwin as well -- that one doesn't work at all for me. So has anyone figured out this left-channel only thing? Like I said, I've been searching the forum for a couple of hours and haven't found any definite solutions. I can move it but it doesn´t affect to my volume at all neither the mute.
