cmdshft
I have a USB external hard drive, formatted as NTFS (so that I can take it to my friends houses who have Windows), and I have NTFS-3G with MacFuse 2.1.5 installed. I have been having REALLY SLOW copy and write speeds (like 2MB/s), it used to be fast a while ago. Check it out in my screencast. Any ideas on how to fix this? EDIT: Updated to the latest ublio build, seems to improve the speed much better, the 3GB transfer went down to 5 minutes, so 4x faster now. Still sorta slow, is this just the nature of USB? Meowpard
I have a USB external hard drive, formatted as NTFS (...) (...) Still sorta slow, is this just the nature of USB? Compared to Firewire USB produces a lot more processor load, so this might explains it in a way. SpeedfreaK
with the new ntfs3G build ublio and stable are removed and there is just one freakin' slow build. Is there a program which lets me copy files faster to a ntfs drive on os x?
