With Ghost, you can backup/clone full disk or partition only to image file (.gho) and save them to local HD or external USB/fireware NTFS/FAT32 drive or burn directly to CD/DVD. or just clone disk-to-disk or partition-to-partition. It easy to restore and useful for dual/multi booting OSX with Windows. I have created a bootable ISO & FLP image using Symantec Ghost Solution Suite 2.5. ring the bell ISO: Bootable CD, burn to CD (image-to-disc).incl. manual and ghost.exe for win32 & x64 which is can running on Windows 32bit/64bit environment.. FLP: Bootable floppy image.Useful for those who using GRUB Bootloderplace ghost.flp to one of your root drive (FAT/FAT32/NTFS) then call it on menu.lst title Symantec Ghost Corporate v11.5.0 root (hdX,Y) map --mem /ghost.flp (fd0) map --hook chainloader (fd0)+1 rootnoverify (fd0) here is my screen: How To Backup Boot the CD, or run ghost.exe for Windows, or call via GRUB. Ghost DOS version Ghost win32 version.. At navigation menu, select backup method:- Disk to Disk- Disk to Image- Partition to Partition- Partition to Image- Select 'Disk/Partition to Image' for backup to CD/DVD for example: I choose 'Partition to Image' .. Select the source disk Select source partition which will backuped .. Browse to where the image file will saved Select CD/DVD Writer if you want to burn to CD/DVD... Choose Compression methodI usually use Fast Compression. .. Done ..You can check the integrity of image file or disk.Local > Check > Image file / disk. How to Restore Select restore method at navigation menu: - Disk to Disk - Disk from Image - Partition to Partition - Partition from Image - Select 'Disk/Partition from Image' for restore from CD/DVD. The advantage of Ghost is able to backup to image file (.gho) and stored to FAT32/NTFS drive (internal/external storage) or direct burn to CD/DVD.
