AzN_DJ
Hello all. Does anybody know how to change the update mirror from OS X to a specific mirror for the updates? My ISP (iiNet Australia) SHOULD offer free updates if it runs through the akamai mirror - but how do you set it from OS X to forcibly use the mirror? AzN_DJ
Macs do have update mirrors, otherwise it would be too busy for apple to handle. Akamai happen to provide one of these mirrors. However, there is no easy way to set the update mirrors. Some of my updates come off the akamai mirror, and therefore ends up not being counted to my quota, however some don't and I end up using my quota. There are similar posts about this in whirlpool forums Australia, but nobody is entirely sure how to do this. I thought asking here would be easier since there are soo many people with work-around s to OS X that there must be some way to force the updates to come from a certain mirror.
