hello

 

could some one please advice in installing Active Directory service for os x server that must mange file, printers, and ftp for small organization.

 

and documentation and usefull links for packages will be appreciated.

Playing with the Server Admin utility for 3.5 seconds will result in figuring out how to do such things.

 

 

 

OS X Server uses Open Directory.

this does not seem helpful.

 

If you are going to use windows computer and macs you will need to setup both OpenDirectory (OD) and ActiveDirectory (AD)

Those should help you out, or atleast get you started, we setting up client put AD above OD in your Directory manager on the client, if you are using Windows AD for auth.
