Hello there fox ;)

 

im on intel dp35dp (p35 chipset) and Q9550 cpu ... 4 gig of 800 crosair

 

and install kalyway 10.5.2 dvd then made kalyway 10.5.3 combo update ...

 

logic 8 updated to 8.0.2 - all works great for some time now !

 

i wonder why when i try to use cubase 4 in this hackintosh its use only use 1 core and in logic it use 4 cores ... it is related to the unknown processor issue ? there is a patch to fix this maybe ?

 

any help is more then welcome :D ) thanks in advanced :P )))

That's quite odd really.

 

Cubase has an option where you can turn on/off Multiprocessing.

 

Head to Devices/ Device Setup

Then to VST Audio System on your left

Finally check the Multi Processing checkbox.

 

I guess it should be selected by default but please try to do that.

ya im aware of this option ... and it is selected by default !

 

maybe its an issue with the "Unknown Processor" issue ? can anyone tell me how to fix so leopard will see my processor as corect name - a patch or something ?

 

i read an info that this issue maybe conflict that cubase use 1 core ...

 

stull need help - and thaks for the reply above - more info needed :P

About this mac is only a matter of aesthetics.

 

For check that it uses all the 4 cores open the Activity Monitor, select CPU, open Cubase 4 run a big project and check if all the cores are working...

 

remember... ABOUT THIS MAC IS ONLY QUESTION OF PURE AESTHETICS {censored}! :wacko:

Iv installed cubase AI and it uses all 4 cores!!
