Apple ditchs IBM PowerPC CPUs for Intel Duo Core

Intel Duo Core is already used by PC/x86 computer makers

Intel Macs intially don't natively boot WinXP

Now Apple's Boot Camp enables booting to WinXP

My gf has 3 year iMac G4 and needs to run AutoCAD 2006, so I should tell her to sell the old iMac to get the new Intel iMac because you can run WinXP and use AutoCAD 2006 (and stop using my Winbox all the damn time) and easily go back to Mac OS X and it'll run all her current OSX apps just as well as it did with her old iMac G4?????

essentially yes. Im not sure exactly how far along the driver support is yet tho, perhaps look at some threads about driver support for winxp running on intelmacs.

so just to be sure, she can run her copies of iPhoto, iTunes, Safari, LimeWire, Office 2004 Suite, Delicious Library, Adobe CS2, etc. on a Intel Core Duo with no problems???

are you seriously wondering if a intel mac can still run iTunes, Safari, etc?

of course it can! its still OSX!!!
