discmeister
Hi everyone, I'm currently running 10.5.5 on my GA-P35-DS3P mobo with an Intel Q6600, 4Gb RAM and an 8800GT nVidia card. But it's been achieved via the usual Kalyway 10.5.2 --> 10.5.5 upgrade method, so I'm unable to perform regular updates from Apple. The answer, it seems, is to perform a Boot-132 installation, which would allow me to use my Retail Leopard DVD unmodified and full Apple updates without worrying too much. Has anyone tried Boot-132 with a GA-P35-DS3P yet? I've searched around these forums but I can't find any records of such an install, or an appropriate tutorial etc. Any pointers would be greatly appreciated; it seems to me that Boot-132 is the next way forward for Hackintosh installations, and I'm happy to work with people on getting a good, solid Boot-132 ISO for the GA-P35-DS3P sorted and available here... Hope someone can help. Discy Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/141641-gigabyte-ga-p35-ds3p-and-boot-132/ Share on other sites
TonyKL
I have a GA-P35-DSP too (might be an R - can't remember the diff) I've just been looking since 10.5.6 on a good way to do things (used retail and EFI before) I found this guide: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=115877 Which also points to this: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=114834 Maybe that's a good starting point? discmeister
Thanks for those. I guess it's just a question of getting the right kexts - and that will be a matter of trial and error. I was just curious to see if anyone else had managed to get a GA-P35-DS3P working perfectly using the Boot-132 method, just in case I'm about to waste several dozen hours trying... :-) Discy Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/141641-gigabyte-ga-p35-ds3p-and-boot-132/#findComment-1004512 Share on other sites

For full installation you will need disabler.kext, dsmos.kext, appleSMBIOS.kext, and OpenHaltRestart.kext. and kexts to make your audio work. Plus EFI studio to make graphics work and make onboard lan compatable with timemachine. That's about it Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/141641-gigabyte-ga-p35-ds3p-and-boot-132/#findComment-1004823 Share on other sites
discmeister
Thanks lanxxx, So I can't just put a kext in my Boot-132 ISO to get the graphics card working, then?
