I first installed Leo Retail from DVD then updated to 10.5.5 without any problem. So how do I get to know which kernels are installed on my system ? Thanks Waiting for reply. MacNutty
Either go to System Profile and checkout Software, you will be which kernel it is using or install OSX86 Tools and use install kernel option you will see which kernel is being used currently. David86
if you used the retail update and didnt tinker with any post patches you have the vanilla kernel, which is what real macs use. Not positive on this, but no harm done by checking. Check the /System/Library/Extensions/ folder under OS X, that's where you install kexts. Did you use Brazilmac? I have a question for you...look at my topic here http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?sho...=141417&hl= Please have a look if I've helped you, I need help with a similar topic. Looks like you have Vanilla 9.5.0. What is the file size of /mach_kernel. If it is close to 10MB it is vanilla. If it is around half that then it could be a patched kernel. Voodoo and Toh generally show the tag in "uname -a".
